ABOUT
Hello, I’m Josiel, a junior at Hunter College pursuing a major in computer science. Originally a premed student with hopes of becoming a general surgeon, my path gradually shifted towards code. The greatest contributor to this change was being surrounded by friends in the field as I’d always hear about their fascinating projects and the intricate technology they used. Overtime, my simple curiosity and fascination evolved into deep immersion of the world of programming. With code, there is always something new for me to explore and be challenged by. At that point there was no doubt I wanted to go after a career in computer science and fulfill my dream.

Fitness App API
Developed a REST API using Python Flask and built data storage models. Set up a local MySQL server with Docker for development. Implemented JWT for secure authentication. Additionally, thoroughly tested the API endpoints to ensure they function as expected and implemented error handling to provide meaningful error messages to the clients consuming the API.
NFT Floor Tracker
A NFT price tracking bot was developed using Python with real-time price updates for a selected NFT collection. This allows users to stay informed and track their investments with ease. The bot is user-friendly and provides a convenient way to stay on top of the NFT market.
Personal Website
Developed a dynamic and user-friendly personal website that showcases my portfolio. Utilizing the latest web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, the website presents a professional platform for potential employers or clients to view and interact with my projects. The website provides an easy-to-use interface and an engaging user experience to showcase my skills and accomplishments in a modern and professional way
